While in London, it rained. And rained. And then rained some more. While it rained we made 3 minute calls to friends, trying to meet up with them. We found them and because London shuts down the Tube on Christmas Day we took a cab to their flat for 13 pounds. The cab home?

First company, no cabs 2 hour wait. Second place, 50 pounds. Third place, 45 pounds. Finally we called back the first place and they said 13 pounds. Turns out we got the same nice cab driver from our trek there. We talked with him about how wonderful our President and government is and how much this Afghani cab driver LOVED our Middle East excursions.

We get to our hotel and when I ask how much we owe him, he says that "friends do not exchange currency" and refused payment. I insisted and we got out 13 pound cab ride.
